Searchable Public Procurement Commission (PPC) Contract Endorsement Spreadsheet Database

Introduction

This down-loadable and searchable Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet Database consists of the basic particulars of all recommendations for the award of Government of Jamaica contracts which have been reviewed, scrutinised and endorsed for award by the Public Procurement Commission (PPC), commencing with endorsements which were issued as at June 2000. The Spreadsheet Database is updated each month.

The Public Procurement Regulations 2018 stipulates that the prior endorsement of the PPC is required for all GOJ contract awards that fall in the Tier 1 (JAD$30,000,000), Tier 2 (JAD$60,000,000) and Tier 3 (exceeding Tier 2) Limit.

It is also important to note that there are instances in which contracts which bear a lower value than the aforementioned thresholds must still be referred to the PPC for endorsement before the award of contracts.

The Spreadsheet Database provides the functionality to sort and filter the listed contracts and provides basic statistical information about the records which are held in the Database.

Structure of the Spreadsheet Database

The Spreadsheet Database is divided into two sections.

Section One (1) Basic Statistics: This section provides basic statistical information. Whenever a filter is applied to the report data, the statistical information is automatically recalculated for the results.

Section Two (2) Consolidated Report Information: This section contains Eleven (11) columns of reported contract data for each contract award Recommendation which has received the endorsement of the PPC. Filters may be applied to the last ten (10) columns in the report.

Conditions of Use, Caveats and Disclaimers

The information which is contained in the Spreadsheet Database has been extracted and collated by the Office of the Public Procurement Commission from the official records and files of the PPC. Consequently, the PPC does not and will not hold itself responsible for any false, inaccurate or otherwise misleading information which may be contained or represented in the Spreadsheet Database.

The PPC will continuously update this website and Spreadsheet Database with the contract endorsement records of the PPC. The website and Spreadsheet Database will be updated as soon as the requisite information is verified as being acceptable for uploading to the website and the Spreadsheet Database.

It is important to note that the contract endorsement particulars which are included in the Spreadsheet Database are not necessarily an indication of the actual contracts which have been subsequently awarded. Contracts are typically awarded by the relevant contracting Public Body or Government agency following after endorsement by the PPC or by the Cabinet.

Should you have any questions about any information which is presented on this website or in the Spreadsheet Database, please do not hesitate to contact the PPC in the care of any of its Senior Inspectors at 876 669 7352 or 876 754 3747.
